Meet SamSam, the smallest of the superheroes! Okay, for a superhero, he doesn't quite yet have super powers. But it doesn't mean he can't fly his own SamSaucer into space or can't deal with dirty-rotten monsters! Sometimes he does need a little help from his cuddly SuperTeddy, friends, SamMummy or SamDaddy. And granted, sometimes, using his noggin and a bit of imagination gets the work done, too. SamSam is a fun 3D animation series for HDTV based on the popular comic book published by Bayard Jeunesse (Paris), and published in magazines worldwide.

Sweetpea tells SamSam that what he'd really like is to go back for just a short visit to Marth, the planet from which his parents have fled. He would go in disguise. SamSam says he'll go with him. When they get there, Sweetpea shows SamSam his school, and his old house that he's delighted to see again. Unfortunately, despite his disguise he is recognized and taken captive to Marthel I's palace. SamSam goes to great lengths to help him escape and takes him back to SamPlanet. Which goes to show that nostalgia can be delightful, but too much can be dangerous ...

WOTAMESS GETS CLEAN

WotaMess is spending the day with SamSam, and is as messy as ever. SamSam is amused by his friend's behaviour - he often does things that SamSam would really like to do himself ! But SamMummy doesn't approve, and threatens not to let them play together any more. SamSam promises to try to reform his friend, but without success. Finally WotaMess slips on some of the rubbish he's left on the floor and knocks himself out. When he comes to, he's completely changed - he couldn't be cleaner. SamMummy is impressed by such a radical change and congratulates SamSam. At first SamSam is delighted, but then he discovers that WotaMess has become unbearably fussy and wishes his friend were a bit less fixated about hygiene. It takes a second tumble to bring WotaMess back to normal. SamSam is relieved. WotaMess will just have to make an effort in front of SamMummy, and they can go on seeing each other as before.

FED UP TO THE TEETH WITH THE PIRATROCITIES

One of SamSam's teeth has come out, and the other refuses to. That evening, as usual, SamSam puts his tooth under the pillow for the turbo tooth fairy. But after he's gone to sleep, he is woken up with a jolt by something moving under his pillow. When he looks under it, his tooth has disappeared - but there's no coin in its place. SamSam finds a clue: a Piratrocity's headband. They're the ones who've stolen his tooth! SamSam and SamTeddy immediately head towards the outskirts of the Black Hole in pursuit. They sneak aboard the whale-ship to find the Piratrocities piling up all the teeth they have brought back from their different expeditions. The teeth will bring them so many coins that they will be able to build up their treasure again at last! Unfortunately, before he can intervene, SamSam is captured by two of the Piratrocities. And worst of all, their captain notices SamSam's tooth that's about to come out. They try everything to make his tooth fall out : make him eat toffees, make his teeth chatter with a fridge on wheels ... But SamSam somehow manages to get his biffboffer and sets it to "turbo dryer". He escapes with SamTeddy, taking a sack filled with teeth, while the Piratrocities are frozen stiff. He puts the teeth back under the pillows they had been taken from, and comes back home exhausted. When his head hits the pillow, surprise! His stubborn tooth has come out at last. Tomorrow night for sure the turbo tooth fairy will come and take it from under his pillow!

NOT WITHOUT SAMTEDDY

Back from school where he has won a medal, SamSam hurries to show it to SamTeddy. But he can't find him anywhere! SamSam decides to search the surroundings in his SamSaucer. But it is spotted in space by the Piratrocities, attracted by the medal that SamSam is wearing round his neck. SamSam is taken to their chief, the dreaded BeastliBeard. And the pirate is holding poor frightened SamTeddy prisoner on his knees. SamSam tries to negotiate, but to his surprise BeastliBeard declares that there's no way he'll part from the teddy! He can't take any more, life's too hard. He wants a friend, someone to hug and tell all his troubles to. To SamTeddy's horror, SamSam says he'll agree to leave him with BeastliBeard ... on condition that he looks after SamTeddy as well as SamSam does. BeastliBeard asks him to explain. SamSam says that a sad teddy is no use at all. He gives a long list of the things that have to be done to make a teddy happy. In view of the immensity of the task and because he couldn't possibly manage it all, particularly being nice and kind, BeastliBeard orders them to be thrown out at once!

SPACESICKNESS

SamSam's teacher has organized an a field day to teach the children about falling into space vortices and how to escape from them without panicking by throwing a grappling hook onto a meteorite. But when she asks SamSam to volunteer, he's uncharacteristically frightened of feeling giddy and refuses to jump into the vortex. SuperJulie teases SamSam for being a supersissy, when a shower of rubbish (broken up spaceships and satellites) suddenly interrupts the lesson. There's only one explanation: the Black Hole has the hiccups! This is a disaster, because if every time it hiccups the Black Hole throws out what it has swallowed since the morning, space will become a rubbish tip. Everyone's afraid of getting too close to the Black Hole, but SamSam decides to intervene. He sees at once what the problem is: a rocket is stuck in the Black Hole's throat. Hoping that he won't be swallowed, SamSam dashes into the jaws of the monster. He spins round and round till he reaches the throat, but he can't get the rocket started again. In the end he throws his grappling hook onto a rusty ventilator that is being ejected from the Black Hole by another hiccup. It pulls the rocket - and SamSam - free at last. Thanks to him, the Black Hole stops hiccuping and can attract all the rubbish scattered across the universe again. The whole class congratulates SamSam, a little superhero who has overcome his "spacesickness".
